Program Doktor Arsitektur mengembangkan keterampilan penelitian independen dalam desain arsitektur, teknologi bangunan, perumahan dan permukiman, serta sejarah, teori, dan kritik arsitektur. Kandidat doktor belajar merumuskan masalah, menguasai keterampilan metodologis, dan melakukan penelitian nyata. Mahasiswa bekerja dengan komite supervisi akademik, mengikuti ujian kualifikasi sebelum disertasi, dan harus lulus ujian akhir serta mendapatkan persetujuan disertasi dari panitia ujian.
