ITB – TU Delft Shared Heritage Laboratory Batch #3 Semarang, 28 October – 4 November 2019

Shared Heritage Laboratory – a collaboration program between ITB and TU Delft— is looking into future conservation strategies in built environment with “shared heritage” as a context. After successfully conducting Batch 1 (April 2018) and 2 (October 2018) in Bandung, the lab is now held in Semarang with Kota Lama (Old Town), Pecinan (Chinese quarter), and areas connected by Kali Semarang as the main locus for study case, joined by 13 ITB and 14 TU Delft students, including ITB tutors (Dr.Eng. Arif S. Wibowo, Prof. Widjaja Martokusumo, Dr.-Ing. Heru Poerbo, Aswin Indraprastha, PhD and academic assistants Marisa Sugangga, Feysa Amalia M. Poetry). The program consists of lectures and discussions by invited speakers with various backgrounds (academia, municipality, community representatives, business owners, NGOs), field survey, workshop, proposal presentation, and cultural program/excursion to “The Little China” Lasem on 2nd November 2019. TU Delft’s tutor are Nicholas Clarke (architect) and Fritz van Loon (landscape architect), while Jean-Paul Corten represents the Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed-RCE (Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands). As scheduled, the workshop will be continued in the beginning of next year at TU Delft.
