Description
Master in Urban and Regional Planning at ITB is designated to become the key center for the theory and practice of urban and regional planning and policy development in Indonesia. Graduates of the program expected to become the leader and the planners that ready for need and challenge in the recent and the future time.
Concentration in International Planning and Development Management is designed for those who have who wants to work in international planning-related field, especially focused on housing and infrastructure planning, urban management and regional development.
To broaden knowledge and experience, we offer the opportunity for the second year students to pursue International Double Degree Certificate from ITB and Partner Universities in the Netherlands, Japan, and the United States.

Learning Outcomes
Master of Urban and Regional Planning is designed to attain this objective:
- The ability to develop planning substance and process that are suitable and anticipatory to the needs and challenges in recent and future times.
- The ability to lead planning units in government and to enforce policy reform in urban and regional planning practices.
- The ability to lead professional planner teams or nongovernmental organizations in public planning fields which comprise members of different backgrounds.
- The ability to conduct research and community services, and to produce publications in the field of urban and regional planning.
- The capability to continue further to doctoral programs both in Indonesia and abroad.
The expected outcome from graduates :
- Explains theories related to urban and regional development dynamics from various aspects, including environment and resources, economics, socio-culture and infrastructure dimensions.
- Explains institutional, regulation and financial systems in urban and regional planning and development.
- Comprehends theories of substantive and procedural planning in a specialized field of urban and regional planning and development.
- Applies planning analytical and synthesis methods in the making of plans in a specialized field of urban and regional planning and development.
- Applies planning theories, systems, processes, and methods in the making of policy instruments and plans in a specialized field of urban and regional planning and development.
- Criticizes and provides recommendations from a perspective of urban and regional planning and development for the policies or interventions that currently are and/or have been implemented.
- Develops and facilitates communications between planning actors.
- Conducts research in a specialized field in urban and regional planning and development through interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary approaches, and communicates the results.
- Applies planning ethics.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this program find employment in central, regional or local governments and development organizations in the public and private sectors also in Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).

Curriculum
Duration: 2 years Credit units: 36 – 40 For International Double Degree track, Students will spend the first year of their two years study period at ITB, and continue the second year at the relevant partner universities. Upon completion of their studies and fulfillment of all academic requirements from both universities, the students will be granted two degrees, one from ITB and the other one from relevant partner university.
Partner Universities and Specialization
The concentration in International Planning and Development Management, including International Double Degree track, will be delivered in English. The student can choose to finish their program in one of our partner universities. The program have 2 (two) specialized fields:
- Development Planning and Infrastructure Management, administered in collaboration with University of Groningen (RUG), University of Twente / International Institute for geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) in the Netherlands, and University of Florida in the United States.
- Regional Development and Policy Analysis, administered in collaboration with several universities in Japan, namely: National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Ritsumeikan University, Kobe University and Keio University.

Student Admission
Qualifications
Admission Requirements for prospective students:
- Bachelor degree in Urban and Regional Planning and other related fields.
- Meet the requirements for the English Language Proficiency Score recognized by ITB
- Academic Potential Test
- Minimum GPA 2.75 of 4 scale, or 3.00 of 5 scale.
- Pass the Written Test and Interview conducted by SAPPD

Fee and Tuition
Paying the ITB Postgraduate registration fee of IDR 600,000, – (Six Hundred Thousand Rupiah), for International Student the registration fee IDR 1,000,000,- (One Million rupiah).
The Tuition Fee (BPP) for the ITB Masters Program is IDR 13,500,000, – (Thirteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Rupiah) per Semester.
