Bandung, September 2025 — Outstanding achievement was once again demonstrated by students from the School of Architecture, Planning, and Policy Development (SAPPK) ITB. Azwan Nazamuddin and Maya Safira successfully earned the Best Paper Award in an international conference with the theme “Enlightening Asia-specific Topics.”
The paper presented by Azwan and Maya highlights critical issues faced by Asian countries while offering fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to address them. Their research stood out among numerous submissions from across Asia, reflecting both academic excellence and the relevance of their work to regional challenges.
The award not only recognizes the depth of their research but also underscores the importance of youth contribution in shaping the discourse on Asia’s development, sustainability, and cultural diversity.
“This achievement proves that Indonesian students are capable of competing and excelling on the global stage,” said a representative from SAPPK ITB. “We are proud of Azwan and Maya’s success, and we hope it will inspire other students to continue pursuing impactful research.”
Through this award, Azwan and Maya have brought pride to ITB and Indonesia, while also strengthening academic collaboration in addressing issues unique to Asia.
