The Master of Architecture program provides students with the opportunity to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional practice in the public and private sectors and in the academic domain. This allows students the opportunity for in-depth study in the field of architectural design and research.
In January 2016, SAPPD ITB obtained international accreditation from KAAB (Korea Architectural Accreditation Board). The professional degree is integrated with the master's program (Architectural Design).

Program Objectives

1.

Knowledgeable and capable of advanced design ("mastering") in the field of architecture and the built environment and, after a 2-year apprenticeship, able to pursue a career as a certified architect.

Knowledgeable and able to conduct research in the field of architecture and the built environment.

3.

Ready to pursue a career as a professional in the field of architecture and the built environment or related fields and as an academic, researcher, policy maker and development manager in the field of architecture and the built environment.

  1. Mampu memahami hubungan arsitektur dengan iptek
  2. Mampu merancang berdasarkan eksplorasi dan pemahaman tentang metode pemilihan dan komposisi bahan bangunan arsitektur.
  3. Mampu merancang dengan pemahaman tentang prinsip-prinsip sistem bangunan, mengintegrasikan elemen-elemen seperti struktur, sistem selubung, material, dan sistem mekanis dalam sebuah bangunan.
  4. Mampu dalam desain komprehensif yang tertanam dalam penelitian untuk melakukan desain kreatif yang mencakup identifikasi masalah dan solusi berdasarkan penyelidikan/analisis dan penelitian mendalam, serta menyajikan keseluruhan proses desain secara komprehensif dalam berbagai format, seperti gambar, makalah, laporan, dan panel.
  5. Mampu memahami prinsip dasar dan metode penerapan sistem pelayanan bangunan meliputi mekanikal, elektrikal, komunikasi, keselamatan kebakaran, dan pencegahan bencana.
  6. Mampu memahami persyaratan sumber daya fisik, manusia, dan teknis, serta penganggaran yang diperlukan untuk konstruksi, dan pemahaman berbagai metode pelaksanaan proyek, proses konstruksi, dan manajemen konstruksi.

Career Opportunity

Graduates of this program are employed in various consulting firms, governmental and non-governmental organizations, as practitioners, managers, researchers and policy makers. Some graduates use this qualification as a basis for entering private practice.

Professional Membership

Graduates of this degree may be eligible for membership, and upon meeting certain requirements, also registration with the Indonesian Architects Association (Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia).

Field Lecture

Several regular programs are designated to be part of co & extracurricular activities for master students where students engage and develop their soft skills, including: leadership, teamwork, empathy and initiative, real world problem solving and others. This program is designed to be multi-disciplinary and involves various parties.
