In course of the Eramus program Assoc. Prof. Aruñas Jaras from Vilnaus Gedimino Technikos Universitetas/Villnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) visited ITB from 25-29 Mei 2018. The visit of A/Prof. Jaras is part of the on-going faculty and student exchange program, initiated and jointly-organized by International Relations Office (IRO) and School of Architecture, Planning and Policy Development (SAPPD) ITB. This program was in relation to the Erasmus grant given to student of Architecture (scholarship for exchange in Architecture and Historic Preservation program).
During the visit A/Prof. Jaras gave a lecture on “Technical Aspects in Cultural Heritage regarding Vilnius as UNESCO World Heritage” at the Department of Architecture, 26 April 2018, 13.00-15.00, at the Architecture Gallery, in the Lab.Tek IXB. The lecture was integrated into the last/closing session of the Historic Building and Sites Preservation class. Prior to the lecture a courtesy meeting was set up with the Dean Prof. Widjaja Martokusumo and Vice Dean for Organization and Resources, Dr. Sri Maryati, at the Dean Office of SAPPD ITB. He also had a discussion session with some PhD students of the faculty that took place on the same day from 16-17.30. In the discussion session, he explained chance and gave important insights in doing exchange program to the candidate of student exchange program in VGTU.
On the next day, 27 April 2018, he also shared his lecture entitled “Mechanic of Materials” at the Department of Civil Engineering. Thanks to the good hands of Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, Irsan Soemantri Brodjonegoro, PhD of Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the lecture was held in the lecture room 3211 from 09.00-10.30 at the Department of Civil Engineering.
